Over 5,000 cubic feet of records relating to the history of Public Health are held at the National Archives at Atlanta. These records document the impact the federal government had on public health throughout the American South and the nation as a whole. This year's symposium, Ethics, Epidemics, & Education: Public Health and the Federal Government, encourages research in these diverse records, features scholars whose published works were based on these holdings, and promotes the discovery of new scholars from universities and colleges across the Southeast and the nation.
