The terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001, were intended to tear apart the fabric of our country and our democracy. Instead, this brazen act served to show the world the heart of a nation and the true meaning of “united we stand.” Tonight's discussion moderated by journalist Phil Hirschkorn (the director of Reporting 9/11 and Why it Still Matters) features Lincoln W. Starnes, author of American Phoenix, and eyewitnesses Lt. Col. Marilyn Wills, Army Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Braman, and Army Sgt. Maj. Tony Rose, all of whom were in the Pentagon on 9/11 and performed acts of rescue.

Program and Featured Document Display commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11 are made possible in part by the National Archives Foundation through the generous support of Maggie & Robert Boroujerdi.
