An Evening with Clint Hill and Lisa McCubbin

Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library and Museum
Austin, TX

Thursday, November 30, 2017 - 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. CST

Friends of the LBJ Library members are invited to join us for an evening with former Secret Service agent and best-selling author Clint Hill. The conversation will be moderated by Lisa McCubbin, Hill's co-author.

About Hill & McCubbin

Clint Hill was a U.S. Secret Service Agent from 1958-1975, serving five presidents—Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and Ford. He was in the motorcade in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963—assigned to protect First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy—when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Hill will forever be remembered for his brave and swift actions as he leapt onto the back of the presidential limousine in an effort to protect President and Mrs. Kennedy while shots were being fired. He is credited with saving Mrs. Kennedy's life.

Journalist Lisa McCubbin collaborated with Hill to write his poignant and powerful memoirs: Mrs. Kennedy and Me, Five Days in November, and Five Presidents: My Extraordinary Journey with Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and Ford.

Book Signing

Prior to the event, The Store at LBJ will host Hill and McCubbin for a book signing of Five Presidents, Mrs. Kennedy and Me, and Five Days in November. Book sales and signing will be held in the upper auditorium lobby from 5-5:45 p.m. Proceeds benefit the LBJ Presidential Library.
