George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum
College Station, TX

Thursday, October 21, 2021 - 12:00 a.m.Thursday, October 21, 2021 - 12:00 a.m.

Join us to ignite imaginations and inspire students using chemistry demonstrations! Some of these will have weird polymers, super cold materials and even some surprising loud reactions! Dr. Jim Pennington presents the Texas A&M University Chemistry Road Show. He greatly enjoys teaching students

Chemistry is fundamental to medical education, acting as the foundation on which the human body functions. Chemistry is the key to life and underpins the search for a cure for cancer. The late President Bush and Barbara Bush became advocates supporting and encouraging medical research to find cures for cancer following the death of their daughter Robin. One day, with the power of chemistry, cancer may be cured.
