George H.W. Bush Center to Host School Threat Assessment and Violence Prevention Workshop

She participated in Governor Abbotts first round-table after the Santa Fe school shooting and SIGMA was named by the Governor to work with Texas School Safety Center to provide threat assessment training to Texas teachers, law enforcement professionals, mental health professionals, and others. The workshop will teach participants the federal school threat assessment model, originally developed by the US Secret Service and US Department of Education based on their research on school shooters.

Mrs. Marble has extensive experience conducting as well as supervising threat assessment and protective intelligence investigations in schools as well as on high-profile public officials and public figures. She has also served as a senior supervisor on the Secret Service Presidential Protective Division and held the position of Director, Threat Policy Coordination/U.S. Secret Service Liaison on the National Security Council Counterterrorism office. Her background includes more than twenty-six years of experience managing political, integrity and security risks in complex and hostile environments. Mrs. Marble earned her Bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Houston in 1987 and was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in January, 2011. This workshop is free of charge. The subject matter is designed for school personnel, school security professionals, law enforcement professionals, emergency management professionals, mental health professionals, and anyone else who may be involved in addressing threatening behavior.
