Two prominent Iowa historians, Loren Horton and Michael Zahs, lead this tour through areas of Johnson and Washington Counties, in Iowa, highlighting Old Order Amish farms and businesses. Dress casually (shorts are discouraged) with comfortable shoes for walking on uneven ground. Two meals are included in the cost, the noon meal will be served on an Amish farm and an evening meal with the location to be determined . Cost is $90 per person, this includes lunch and dinner meals (special dietary needs cannot be accommodated).
The bus leaves the Hoover Presidential Library and Museum parking lot at 8:00 a.m. and returns around 7:00 p.m. Please contact the Hoover Presidential Foundation for reservations, 319-643-5327.
