Join the Future Forum on Wednesday, Jan. 17, for a conversation on sanctuary cities from the diverse perspectives of those who witness the on-the-ground impact. A cocktail reception will follow the panel, and attendees are encouraged to continue the conversation over drinks and light bites.

  • Discussion: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

  • Louis Barrios, veteran San Antonio restaurateur
  • Jesús Garza, former CEO of Seton Healthcare and former Austin city manager
  • Lupe Valdez, Dallas County Sheriff and Democratic candidate for governor
  • Dr. Esperanza Zendejas, superintendent of Brownsville ISD
  • Julián Aguilar, immigration reporter for The Texas Tribune, will serve as moderator for the discussion.
