Join us for the second film in our 2018 Summer Film Series, as we dive into the superhero world of the “The Incredibles.”

Released in 2004, the film follows married superheroes Mr. Incredibles and Elastigirl, who must go assume normal lives as Bob and Helen Parr following a government ban of all superhero activities. Bored with his mundane life in the suburbs, Bob secretly dons on his Mr. Incredible suit and returns to crime fighting. After getting trapped on a far-away Island, it is up to Helen and the Parr children Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack to come to the rescue. Rated PG, the movie was directed by Brad Bird and includes the voices of Craig T. Nelson and Holly Hunter and Samuel L. Jackson. “The Incredibles” is rated PG and is one hour and 55 minutes long. Come see the original before the release of its sequel!

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs as we enjoy this film under the stars. Games and free refreshments will begin at 7 p.m., and the movie will start just after sundown. You may bring your coolers, but please no pets or glass containers.

This summer’s movies are being shown in conjunction with the newest exhibit at the Bush Library and Museum, "Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion." The exhibit celebrates the life of Leonardo da Vinci, a well-known painter, sculptor, musician, architect, engineer and anatomist. The exhibit includes life-sized and fully operational machines based on Leonardo’s original designs. Visitors may touch and set them in motion, combining a fascinating hands-on experience with an exploration of the principles he employed to create each machine. “Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion” will be on display through January 6, 2019. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore Leonardo da Vinci’s legacy up close.
