The Harvest Film Screening & Panel Discussion

The Central Arkansas Library System, the Clinton Foundation, and the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum present a showing of the new documentary "The Harvest"--a deeply personal depiction of one Southern town’s painful struggle to integrate its schools and the continuing repercussions still felt more than 50 years later. Told through the remembrances of students, teachers and parents, the film shows how the town – and America – were transformed. Pulitizer Prize-winning author Doug Blackmon looks back on his experience as a member of the first class of Black and white children to attend all 12 grades together in Leland, Mississippi, in a film by Academy Award nominee Sam Pollard.

Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with the filmmakers.
