The Margaret Truman Memorial Reading Group

Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum
Independence, MO

Monday, December 18, 2017 - 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST

Margaret Truman Daniel (1924-2008), was known as a vocalist, television personality, mother of four sons, and an author of many nonfiction books and several novels. We remember the only child of Harry and Bess Truman by reading and discussing one of her books each month. In December, the Reading Group will convene to discuss Murder on K Street, a compelling mystery novel about an Illinois senator who returns from a political fundraiser to find his wife murdered. The detective assigned to the investigation is drawn into the dangerous world of political lobbyists with whom the senator has a close relationship.

Fee: None; participants only need to acquire the book. Copies are available at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum, at branches of local libraries, and online bookstores.

Contact Doug Richardson of the National Park Service for more information.
