Amelia Earhart, aviation pioneer, achieved many firsts during her career. A recipient of the United States Flying Cross, she was the first female to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She supported women’s rights and championed roles for women as pilots in the aviation industry.  Known in her day as a celebrity, she became a best-selling author and close personal friend to First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Amelia Earhart is portrayed by Pat Jordan of the American Historical Theatre.
