Viva Hoover! The 1928 Good Will Tour

After Herbert Hoover was elected in November of 1928 he took a Goodwill Tour of Latin America with his wife, Lou Henry Hoover.
The trip was deemed a call of friendship in which president-elect Herbert Hoover visited with officials from Honduras, Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. The trip was to symbolize the friendly visit of one good neighbor to another.
The exhibit will contain gifts, artifacts, photos and film footage from all of the stops on the trip. As well as showcase time spent aboard the USS Maryland and USS Utah.
This is a temporary exhibit and regular Museum admission fees apply.
On display from Nov. 16, 2019 - January 3, 2021.
