White Glove Wednesday
Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum
REGISTRATION
Get up close and personal with some of the most unique artifacts at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum. White Glove Wednesdays are when an archivist, curator, or technician selects a special item not generally displayed in the museum. On Wednesdays at 11 a.m., museum visitors can view the items up close, hear more from the experts, and ask questions about the artifacts.
White Glove Wednesdays are free with museum admission, and admission is always free for Truman Library Institute Members.
On January 21, 2026, John Miller, Museum Registrar, will showcase a pair of bookends. They were presented to President Truman in the Oval Office on January 23, 1946 by nine year old Cub Scout, Robert Todd. Bookends are made of pure anthracite coal mined in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
All events listed in the calendar are free unless noted.
