On February 18, 2026, museum staff will showcase a black dress worn by Bess Truman. A tag on the dress says “Agasta / GOWNS / 1213 CONNECTICUT AVE. / WASHINGTON, D.C.”
White Glove Wednesdays are when an archivist, curator, or technician selects a special item not generally displayed in the museum. On Wednesdays at 11 a.m., museum visitors can view the items up close, hear more from the experts, and ask questions about the artifacts.
White Glove Wednesdays are free with museum admission, and admission is always free for Truman Library Institute Members.
All events listed in the calendar are free unless noted.
