Revisit the 2014 Virtual Genealogy Fair

We had record turnout for the Archives' annual Virtual Genealogy Fair in October! In case you missed it, all of the sessions are available online for you to watch at your convenience (same as the 2013 Virtual Genealogy Fair).

The subjects included introductions to genealogical research, how to use different types of records for your research such as immigration records or draft cards, and even best practices for using the Freedom of Information Act to help with your search.

Archivist of the United States David S. Ferriero provided opening remarks. Other speakers included experts from National Archives' facilities nationwide, the historian from the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services, and representatives from and FamilySearch.

Lectures featured tips and techniques for using Federal records at the National Archives for genealogy research. Lectures are designed for experienced genealogists and novices.
