2016 Presidential Election

Certificates of Vote

Each Certificate of Vote lists:

  • all persons who received electoral votes for President and the number of Electors who voted for each person.
  • all persons who received votes for Vice President and the number of Electors who voted for each person.

The Electors must execute the Certificates of Vote. While Federal law does not govern the general appearance of the Certificates, they must contain two distinct lists – one for President and one for Vice President. The Certificates do not contain the names of persons who did not receive electoral votes. Click on the links below to view each state's Certificate of Vote from the 2016 Presidential Election.

Certificates will be posted as they are received and verified for completeness and accuracy. State links will become live once certificates are posted. If a link is not live yet, check back later. Certificates of Vote will not be available until sometime after the Electors meet and vote on December 19, 2016.
