National Archives at New York City

Learn more about the National Archives this Summer

Stop in to our Welcome Center and learn about the National Archives.  Visit our "Amending America" exhibit that celebrates the 225th Anniversary of the Ratification of the Bill of Rights.

The Welcome Center is open Monday – Friday from 10am till 4:45pm.

Visit our Research Room, to research historically significant records of Federal agencies and courts of New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands dating from 1685 to the present. Our Research Room also provides computer access to a variety of online resources, genealogical tools, and select microfilm publications of the National Archives. 

The  Research Room is open Monday – Friday from 10am till 5pm. 

Stop by the Learning Center for fun archival adventures, "Amending America" activities and other free family activities. Summer walk-in hours are: Tuesday through  Thursday from 1pm to 3pm in July.   

The National Archives at New York City is located on the 3rd floor of the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House at One Bowling Green, NY.
