College Park, MD. . .Archivist of the United States John W. Carlin will give the keynote speech at the Seventh National Conference on Managing Electronic Records (MER'99) September 27-29 at the Westin Hotel in Chicago, IL.

As a highlight of MER'99, Archivist John Carlin will give the keynote address entitled New Perspectives for the New Millennium: Addressing the Challenges of Managing Electronic Records. As head of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Mr. Carlin brings a unique perspective to electronic records issues.

Presented by Cohasset Associates, Inc., MER'99 is a focused conference that will address the legal, technical, and operational issues and challenges of managing electronic records.
