National Archives and Records Administration Hosts Open House

On Saturday, April 24, 1999, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) will sponsor an open house at the National Archives building in College Park, as part of the "Maryland Day" festivities planned at the University of Maryland. The schedule of events for the open house includes short subject film screenings, as well as guided tours of the Archives II research complex where visitors will have the opportunity to view examples of historically valuable records in NARA holdings, including:
- cartographic and architectural records
- still photographs
- motion pictures
- textual (paper) records
- records preservation laboratories.
The open house is scheduled to run from 10:00am -2:15pm. All those interested are encouraged to attend -families are welcome!*
