Sponsored by the Washington DC Caucus of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC), the Archives Fair is an opportunity for visitors to learn about archival collections in the metropolitan Washington DC area. The fair is free and open to the public.
Featuring over twenty exhibits focused on local, national and international history, the fair showcases regional archival collections by several Smithsonian museums and other organizations including the National Archives and Records Administration; the American Folklife Center of the Library of Congress; the Washingtoniana Division of the DC Public Library; George Washington University; Arlington County Public Library; the Mount Vernon Library and United States Holocaust Museum Archives. Ms. Gilden Seavey directed the Oscar winning documentary Paralyzing Fear: The Story of Polio in America.
