National Archives Presents Free Screenings of PBS series Eyes on the Prize

Washington, DC…The National Archives will present free noontime screenings of the landmark 14-part PBS series Eyes on the Prize on Tuesdays and Fridays beginning on January 8, and running through February 22. Screenings of the series, which first aired in 1987, will be held in the William G. McGowan Theater of the National Archives Building in Washington, DC, which is located on the National Mall at Constitution Ave. and 7th Street, NW, Metro station: Archives/Navy Memorial. Produced by Blackside, Eyes on the Prize tells the definitive story of the civil rights era from the point of view of the ordinary men and women whose extraordinary actions launched a movement that changed the fabric of American life, and embodied a struggle whose reverberations continue to be felt today.
