Washington, DC…The National Archives is introducing new genealogy programs to take place twice a month. These programs, which are free and open to the public, will be held in Room G-24 of the National Archives Building located at 700 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW (please enter on Pennsylvania Avenue between 7th and 9th Streets, NW).
Introduction to Genealogy -- Staff archivists will present one-hour lectures on basic genealogical research and techniques on the first Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. and selected Saturdays at 10 a.m. each month.
“Help! I’m Stuck” -- Not sure where to begin your research? Is there a genealogical or historical problem that has stumped you? Would you like to explore new directions in your research? One Saturday a month, an archivist with extensive experience in genealogy and the records of the National Archives will be available from noon to 4 p.m. to answer questions. Look for the sign at the Research Center desk reading, “Help! I’m Stuck.” selected Saturdays each month.
