Washington, DC…The National Archives presents two noontime book talks in January. Both events are free and open to the public and will be held in the National Archives Building in Washington, DC, which is located on the National Mall and is fully accessible. Please use the Special Events entrance on Constitution Avenue and 7th Street, NW.

Daring Young Men: The Heroism and Triumph of the Berlin Airlift, June 1948–May 1949
Columnist and presidential biographer Richard Reeves discusses his book Daring Young Men, a stirring tale of the heroic and resolute young men who defied the Soviet blockade intended to drive the Western powers out of Berlin, and risked their lives to keep a city alive. Woodrow Wilson: A Biography
To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the League of Nations, the National Archives and the Woodrow Wilson House present a lecture on Woodrow Wilson by John Milton Cooper, Jr., the author of the recently published Woodrow Wilson: A Biography, the first major biography of America’s twenty-eighth president in nearly two decades. Cooper, one of America’s foremost Wilson scholars, is professor of history at the University of Wisconsin. Frank Aucella, Executive Director of the Woodrow Wilson House, will provide welcoming remarks. A book signing will follow the program. The book is available from the Archives Shop.
