The National Archives Presents "Your Day as President" in Celebration of Reagan Diary Display
Washington, DC…The National Archives and its Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum present “Your Day as President,” a special free family activity that invites children and visitors of all ages to envision what they would do if they could be President for a single day. The program will take place June 17-20, 2011, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. outside the National Archives’ Public Vaults exhibit.
As part of the year-long Ronald Reagan Centennial celebration, one of President Reagan’s personal diaries will be on display until July 5, 2011. “Your Day as President” will provide materials for visitors to imagine a day in the White House by creating a personalized diary entry to be shared with Former First Lady Nancy Reagan. Select “Your Day as President” entries will be featured on the Archives News Photostream on Flickr [http://www.flickr.com/photos/archivesnews/] and participants will receive a discount on all personal diaries available in the Archives Shop during the event.
The National Archives Building is located on Constitution Avenue at 9th Street, NW, and is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (through Labor Day), daily. Admission is free.
