Dallas, TX…The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum launched its social media efforts today on Twitter and Facebook. This latest online outreach is part of the Presidential Library’s preparations for its 2013 spring opening.
Information on construction milestones, library features, exhibits, opening dates, and hours of operation is available via @GWBLibrary and Facebook.com/GWBLibrary.
“Social media is about fostering conversations and developing community. The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum will seek to connect visitors with history, delivering an engaging experience not only at the museum but through our online efforts as well,” said Alan Lowe, Director.
The Bush Library and Museum is the 13th Presidential Library administered by the National Archives and Records Administration. The National Archives uses social media tools throughout the agency to better serve its customers and American citizens. The agency is committed to promoting transparency, participation, and collaboration to help accomplish its mission as the nation's record keeper to preserve government records and make history more accessible.

The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum serves as a resource for the study of the life and career of George W.
