BOOK DISCUSSION: The American Experiment: Dialogues on a Dream
Tuesday, September 14, 2021, noon, ET
In his new book, The American Experiment, David Rubenstein explores the ever-evolving America and the diverse makeup of our country’s DNA. Through interviews with some of our nation’s greatest minds—Pulitzer Prize–winning historians, diplomats, music legends, and sports giants—the book looks into the inspiring story of America as a grand experiment in democracy, culture, innovation, and ideas. Featuring Ken Burns, Madeleine Albright, Wynton Marsalis, Billie Jean King, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., and many more, the American spirit comes alive, revealing the setbacks, suffering, invention, ingenuity, and social movements that continue to shape our vision of what America is—and what it can be. Joining Mr. Rubenstein in conversation will be author and historian Michael Beschloss.
