Memorandum To Federal Agency Contacts: New GRS items for vaccination attestations and vaccine testing records
We wanted to share with you that we are expediting the issuance of new General Records Schedule (GRS) items for vaccine attestation and related COVID testing records. On July 29, the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force issued new government-wide Model Safety Principles requiring all agencies to collect vaccination status information from all employees and on-site contractors, as well as certain public visitors. We expect to issue new items to cover these records before the end of the calendar year.
Previously, we shared memorandum AC 22.2021 with a draft GRS for agency comment that added or expanded disposition authorities to accommodate new records being created due to the pandemic. We are continuing to work on those revisions. However, we do not expect to issue them in the next GRS Transmittal.
