Move of U.S. Shipping Board Records (RG 32)
Staff at the National Archives at College Park are moving 3 containers of records of the United States Shipping Board (Record Group 32) to the National Archives at Washington, D.C. These records complement the mission, function, and holdings of the National Archives at Washington, DC. This series includes records created or maintained by the United States Shipping Board during the early twentieth century; and, logically belong with similar maritime records in the National Archives at Washington, DC. This relocation to Washington, DC will facilitate more efficient archival research and public access to these records.
