This years participants created work that reflects on the themes of Environmental Art and Environmental Issues.Outstanding Educators: Donna Bairrington, Marci Kacal, Clinton Rahn, Mike Wright.2021 Online Art and Essay Contest: The theme for the art contest is Environmental Art. The theme for the essay contest is Environmental Issues. This yearly contest is open to students in the Texas ESC Region 6.Spotlight on BVAEA: Brazos Valley Art Educators Association is a community of local art educators. Watch as they dazzle us with their art and speak on their methods and processes in creating it.

Celebrate Juneteenth with us! Our theme is "Freedom's Legacy: Moving Forward." Reflecting on the African-American ties, we see the Eagle as asymbol of knowing your self-worth and valuing the concept ofKnow Thyself and Believe.Poet-Storyteller Oba William King returns to share insights, to uplift us and remind us of the history of Juneteenth. We will sing with him, learn from him, love his drum beats, and be inspired by him. He says, "In the process of learning we lose fear." Together in a family and community, we learn that we are stronger. By choosing pillars or goals of life to follow, we thrive and help each other together. Let the celebration begin!

New Exhibit, "Oceans of Plastic"
Plastic pollution, particularly in our oceans, is one of the most pressing consumer and environmental issues that we face today.Oceans of Plasticis a strangely beautiful collection of art made from plastics acquired from beaches along the Texas Gulf Coast. Artist and beachcomber Shelia Rogers compiled and arranged the trash to highlight the true impact of plastics on our wildlife and oceanic habitats.Oceans of Plasticchallenges each visitor to make small lifestyle changes that will reduce the amount of plastics waste each of us create, and collectively changing the course of plastic pollution and saving our oceans and beaches.Along with theOceans of Plasticexhibit, we will be featuringGeorge Bush: An Environmental President. This exhibit will outline President Bushs environmental initiatives, including the Clean Air Act Amendment, the Everglades National Park Expansion Act, the Antarctic Protection Act, and the Oceans Act. We will also have artifacts related to environmental conservation efforts from across the globe.Oceans of Plasticwill be on exhibit July 1, 2021, until July 5, 2022.

New Exhibit, "Texas Sea Grant: 50 Years of Science and Stewardship"
The Texas Sea Grant College Program at Texas A&M is celebrating 50 years of science and stewardship at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum!As one of the first sea grant programs, Texas Sea Grant has a rich history of supporting the Texas coast and its people through cutting-edge research and innovative outreach and educational programs.Visitors will learn about historic and current Texas Sea Grant programs, discover marine wonders, and realize their own impact as stewards of the Texas coast.This exhibit will be on displayin the Ansary Gallery of American History from July 1, 2021, until July 5, 2022.
