Memorandum to Federal Agency Records Officers: NARA Webinar on Expanding Capstone for Electronic Messages and Using the NA-1005 Form
 
Our office will be hosting a webinar on expanding the Capstone approach for electronic messages on January 24, 2023 at 2:00-3:30 pm (Eastern).

Registrants must have a .gov or a .mil email address. If you have trouble registering, contact markus.most@nara.gov for assistance.
 
The webinar will include information on:

• NARA Bulletin 2023-02, Expanding the Use of a Role-Based Approach (Capstone) for Electronic Messages 
• The expanded GRS 6.1, Email and Other Electronic Messages Managed under a Capstone Approach
• Resubmission requirements for the form NA-1005, Verification for the Use of GRS 6.1.

 
The webinar is intended for federal records management staff who support Capstone-related activities, including the completion and submission of the form NA-1005. Emphasis will be on the resubmission requirements for the form NA-1005, including a discussion on changes made to the form to align with the expansion of GRS 6.1 to include certain other types of electronic messages. 
 
We will record the presentation and make it available on our website for those who cannot attend.
