Memorandum To Federal Records Management Contacts: General Records Schedules (GRS) Status Update, June 2021

This notice is to inform agencies that the GRS Status Update page has been updated. We have updated the status of schedules that are in progress and added an explanation of the general process each GRS goes through.

We also added a new entry for a project we have started to revise disposition instructions in multiple GRS so that they can be translated in a machine-readable format. Once this project is completed, we expect to provide a version of the entire GRS in Excel that parses disposition instructions into machine-readable elements.

No agency action is required at this time. If you have any questions or comments about these schedules or any other GRS questions, please email GRS_Team@nara.gov.
