Classification 26: Interstate Transportation of Stolen Motor Vehicles (ITSMV)

This classification was established July 28, 1924 (although cases within the headquarters have been opened as early as December 1921) to document investigations of violations of statutes making transportation, sale, or receipt of stolen motor vehicles or aircraft in interstate or foreign commerce a Federal offense.
