Richard B. Russell

Richard Russell, a Democratic Senator from Georgia, served as a member of the Warren Commission. He rejected the theory, advocated by the Commission that a single bullet hit both President Kennedy and Texas Governor John Connally.

The Records

The Russell papers in the National Archives relate to Russell's time on the Warren Commission. The records relate to Commission meetings, testimony, newspaper clippings, Secret Service activities, and the preparation of the Commission's final report.
