MEMORANDUM TO FEDERAL AGENCY CONTACTS: Update on GRS Transmittal 28

Since the publication of GRS Transmittal 28 under AC 33.2017 on July 20, 2017, we have been made aware of typographical errors in four crosswalks in that Transmittal and have made the following corrections:

GRS 2.2 Employee Management Records, new to old crosswalk

GRS 2.2, Item 072:  Disposition authority for GRS 1, Item 9, has been corrected from NC1-64-77-1 to NC1-64-77-10.

GRS 2.4 Employee Compensation and Benefits Records, new to old crosswalk

GRS 2.4, Item 060.  Disposition authorities GRS 2, items 22a and 22b were reversed.  They now correctly show N1-GRS-92-4, item 22a, as the authority for GRS 2, item 22a, and N1-GRS-92-4, item 22b, as the authority for GRS 2, item 22b.

GRS 5.2 Transitory and Intermediary Records, new to old crosswalk

GRS 5.2, Item 010.  The words “item 010” have been added to the disposition authority for GRS 23, Item 7, for clarification.

Old to new crosswalk

GRS 1, Item 17b2.  Retention for GRS 2.5, 010, has been changed from “superseded or obsolete” to “no longer required.”
GRS 1, Item 28a2.  Retention for GRS 2.3, 051, has been changed from “superseded or obsolete” to “no longer needed.”
GRS 1, Item 33s.  Retention for GRS 2.3, 070, has been changed from 2 years to 3 years.
GRS 1, Item 33t.  New GRS item has been changed from 151 to 160.
GRS 2, Item 28.  Retention for GRS 2.5, item 010, has been changed from “superseded or obsolete” to “no longer required.”
GRS 18, Item 22c.  Retention for GRS 5.6, item 190, has been changed from “with related case file” to “superseded or obsolete.”
GRS 18, Item 23.  Retention for GRS 5.6, item 190, has been changed from “with related case file” to “superseded or obsolete.”

Corrected versions of these four documents have been posted to the GRS web page.
