MEMORANDUM TO FEDERAL AGENCY CONTACTS: NARA's Agency Services Bimonthly Records and Information Discussion Group (BRIDG), Wednesday, August 19, 2015

The meeting will be held at the National Archives and Records Administration downtown building, 700 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW (Metrorail's Yellow or Green lines to the Archives/Navy Memorial station) in the McGowan Theater. Please enter on the Constitution Avenue side of the building, the "Special Events" entrance (which is actually the exit for the general public).

We will begin with an informal networking hour from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Jefferson Conference Room (mezzanine level). The BRIDG meeting will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the McGowan Theater (basement level). A Staff Meet and Greet for Appraisal Team 3 agency staff will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Jefferson Room (mezzanine level).

Meeting agenda items include the following:

• Lisa Haralampus, Director, Records Management Policy, and April Davis, Manager, Classification and Assessment Policy, U.S. Office of Personnel Management, will provide a short briefing on the new RIM Occupation Series (0308) and how it will be implemented by agencies.
  
  
• Margaret R. Hawkins, Director, Records Management Services, will review the recently issued guidance for agencies on the appropriate age for transfer of records to NARA.
  
  
• Russell Loiselle, National Transfer and Disposition Coordinator, Federal Records Centers Program, will present an update on the Tobacco Industry Litigation (TIL) Freeze lift.
  
  
• Lisa Haralampus, Director, Records Management Policy, will discuss the recently issued guidance for agencies on managing electronic messages.

Reservations are no longer required to attend the Agency Services BRIDG meeting.

The Staff Meet and Greet will provide an opportunity to meet with Appraisal Archivists and the supervisor from Appraisal Team 3, FRC account managers, and records accessioning staff. All agencies listed as part of Team 3 are encouraged to attend this meeting. To reserve a place for the Staff Meet and Greet, a reservation is required.
