Driving Directions

From Points North (Northeastern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine) via I-95/MA-128:

While traveling south on I-95/MA-128, take Exit 28 (Trapelo Road -- Belmont, Lincoln) and turn left onto Trapelo Road. Follow Trapelo Road for 2.8 miles. The National Archives at Boston is on the right.

From Points South (Southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island) via I-95/MA-128:

While traveling north on I-95/MA-128, take Exit 28A (Trapelo Road -- Belmont) and follow the ramp onto Trapelo Road. Follow Trapelo Road for 2.8 miles. The National Archives at Boston is on the right.

From Boston and Points East, via I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike):

While traveling west on I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike), take Exit 15A (I-95/MA-128) and follow the northbound ramp.  Continue traveling north on I-95/MA-128 to Exit 28A (Trapelo Road -- Belmont). Take the exit and follow the ramp onto Trapelo Road. Follow Trapelo Road for 2.8 miles. The National Archives at Boston is on the right.

From Points West (Worcester, Springfield, New York State), via I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike):

While traveling east on I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike), take Exit 14 (I-95/MA-128) and follow the northbound ramp.  Continue traveling north on I-95/MA-128 to Exit 28A (Trapelo Road -- Belmont). Take the exit and follow the off-ramp right onto Trapelo Road. Follow Trapelo Road for 2.8 miles. The National Archives at Boston is on the right.

Public Transportation

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) provides commuter rail (Fitchburg Line) and bus service (Routes 73, 554) from Boston to Waverley Square, Belmont, Massachusetts.  The National Archives at Boston is located one mile west of Waverley Square. Take a taxicab or walk from Waverley Square along Trapelo Road into Waltham. The National Archives at Boston is on the left.
