The Electronic Records Archives (ERA) system allows Federal agencies to perform critical records management transactions with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) online. Agency records management staff use ERA to draft new records retention schedules for records, officially submit those proposed schedules to NARA for approval, and request the transfer of permanent records in all formats and media to NARA through the Annual Move or by direct offer.
