Established: In the Department of Agriculture by the Agricultural Appropriation Act of 1927 (44 Stat. 507), May 11, 1926.

Functions: Conducted research in dairy products and byproducts, dairy industry market practices, and the breeding, nutrition, and management of dairy cattle.
