Martha Carey Thomas (1857-1935) was an American educator, suffragist, linguist, and second President of Bryn Mawr College (1894–1922). Thomas maintained a strong interest in women's rights (including work for the National College Women’s Equal Suffrage League. After 1920 she advocated the policies of the National Woman’s Party and was an early promoter of an equal rights amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The papers are those held by the Bryn Mawr College archives.
