H. Con. Res. 186

Representative Albert Watson (D-SC) introduced this concurrent resolution in the House on the same day that the Civil Rights bill was introduced. If passed, the resolution would have acted as an official call for the cessation of all demonstrations while Congress debated the Civil Rights bill. The resolution was referred to the Judiciary Committee, where it was never reported on.
