Telegram to Representative Emanuel Celler Opposed to the March on Washington

The day before the March, Representative Emanuel Celler received this anonymous telegram from a Virginian “Southern White Gentle Woman.” Celler received a significant quantity of telegrams and letters from Americans, including strongly worded opposition or support for the March.
