Photographic Scrapbooks of World War II Military Units, 1941 - 1945 (407-US)

This series consists of eighteen albums depicting the "history" of 13 military units in World War II. Most albums are strictly photographic, while some have textual materials. Most of the albums include photographs of all members of the unit, battle action, local inhabitants and daily activities of the unit. Some albums include pictures of bombed cities and damages caused by war. Also included in this series are two sets of loose prints, one of troops on shipboard before the invasion of Attu, Aleutian Islands and annotated photos of the terrain, and another of low aerial panoramas of Japanese cities, as well as, three mounted prints of miscellaneous war scenes.

 

Photographs of the Moroccan War (Riff War), 1925 - 1927 (407-MW)

This series consists of two serial strip mosaics annotated to show battlefield areas and miscellaneous items stamped "International Newsreel" (including an aerial view of the Sphinx, pyramids and ship convoys; picture of an early seaplane, and a picture of all military attaches in France in 1927).
