FOIA Advisory Committee Subcommittees

Each term of the Federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Advisory Committee has created subcommittees to support the Committee's functions. All subcommittees and any working groups report their work and findings to the Committee for deliberation. Generally, each subcommittee has a government and non-government co-chair.

The 2024-2026 term of the FOIA Advisory Committee created the following three subcommittees to support the Committee's functions:

Implementation Subcommittee

   Jason R. Baron, University of Maryland and Marianne Manheim, Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health

Statutory Reform Subcommittee

   Ryan Mulvey, Americans for Prosperity Foundation and Whitney Frazier-Jenkins, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation  

Volume and Frequency Subcommittee

​   Nicholas Wittenberg, representing the interests of requesters in the "commercial" FOIA fee category, and Nieva Brock, Department of Defense Defense Intelligence Agency
